Part of My Beautiful Vacation
Friday, May 21, 2010
So this is what I've been doing. Directing Beauty and the Beast. Hence no blog activity for a while. I worked very hard, they did a fantastic job, now I miss them and am very tired and glad it's over. It was a great show! Note, my husband was the Beast and we are friends with Belle! My best friend Emily was Mrs. Potts, and my kiddos were in it! Sierra the candle and Daniel the gargoyle and wolf!
So Sara/Belle called us and reminded us about spring fling at Leclaire, so we went and hung out with her. The kids played games, we all ate and we petted animals, all for $20. Then she babysat for the kids while Michael and I went to see Robin Hood. Pretty good, but violent. Should have known with Russel Crowe in it!

So we spent the weekend doing Thanksgiving early with my husband's family. I guess I'll start blogging since everyone else in the family is. I've got three kids and a stepson. I wish I had another babe, but I may be too old. We have six cats and a dog. Three of the cats will go with Dustan some day when he moves, we hope. Today I have dance lessons, skating lessons and two parent teacher conferences to go to. My kids are keeping me busy. Lately I could write lots of things, but I believe blogs are supposed to be for mostly positive things. Things haven't been so positive, but I'm thankful for my immediate and extended family, for the arts, crafts and talents to help me chill out, escape and find my creative side. For babies, children and animals who show me unconditional love and forgiveness. For the church which gives me a reason to keep going and trudging on, knowing that someday, I have the chance to be with my Father in Heaven, and for a body that currently moves, sees, tastes, hears, and can feel. I also am thankful for food although I ought to be less thankful. Look at my cute nephew. Isn't he gorgeous! And the guy on top is my son Dustan who is serving a mission in California. AHHHHHHHH!
